Celebration. It’s more than just a Kool & The Gang song. It’s a birthday, a wedding day, an anniversary, a new job.

At Hotel Goodwin, we want to help you celebrate good times (come on!), so we crafted an itinerary for a weekend of good food, good drinks and good fun.

Get ready to check in to your room, pop the champagne from the mini bar and put on a record or this playlist while you get ready for a weekend in downtown Beloit!

Friday night

After your champagne, it’s time for a drink. Kick off your celebration by taking the elevator up to The Rooftop for a delicious cocktail and the view of downtown Beloit from above.

You don’t have to go far when you’re ready for dinner! Velvet Buffalo Modern Italian is located right off our lobby. They make all of their pasta in house and always have the freshest ingredients. If you’re a wine lover, make sure you take a look at their extensive wine list!

If you’re in need of a night cap, walk across the street to Merrill & Houston’s Steak Joint for a side of live music with that drink or retire to your room and mix yourself a drink from the mini bar.

Saturday morning

Late night? Get your coffee fix from Blue Collar Coffee Co. before heading to Bessie’s Diner at the Janesville Airport for brunch. You can watch airplanes take off and land while you indulge in pancakes, eggs benedict and other breakfast favorites. Don’t forget the mimosas!

Peruse the Beloit Farmers’ Market, only a short walk from Hotel Goodwin, and support local vendors. You’ll leave with bags full of fresh produce and Wisconsin cheese.

Saturday afternoon

After brunch or your trip to the Farmers’ Market, stop at Riverside Park to stroll along the walking path next to the river. This is one of our favorite spots to take in the beauty of Beloit!

Golf lovers, bring your clubs and play 18 holes at the award-winning Beloit Club. All you have to do is contact the front desk to make a tee time. Or head to the Ironworks Golf Lab where you can have a drink and play on one of the incredible simulators. Work on your golf game or try something new like baseball, soccer or zombie dodgeball!

Head just down the street to Beloit’s coolest hangout spot, Henry Dorrbaker’s. Challenge your group to duckpin bowling, a round of mini golf or hope into the driver’s seat in one of the racing simulators. With all that fun, you’ll be ready for some fuel. With a giant bar with craft cocktails, brews and pub fare, there’s no shortage of good times here.

If you’re looking to have your dessert before dinner, walk over to Lucy’s #7 Burger Bar for their signature tipsy milkshakes!

Saturday night

Once you’ve freshened up after your exciting day, walk over to truk’t for apps and the best margaritas you’ll ever have. You won’t be able to have just one!
