Spring Staycation at Hotel Goodwin

Who says spring break is just for college kids? Get to Hotel Goodwin and live it up on the adult spring break of your dreams! Between all the delicious food and drink and the fun outdoor activities, it was hard to narrow down our favorite things to do in Beloit, but we came up with a list for your spring staycation.

Drinks on The Rooftop

Ride the elevator to the top of Hotel Goodwin where you’ll find Beloit’s only rooftop bar. Sip on a handcrafted cocktail or a refreshing beer while taking in the views of downtown Beloit. It’s the perfect scene to get drinks with friends or cap off a great night.

Catch a game

While staying at Hotel Goodwin, you’re just a short walk from ABC Supply Stadium, home of the Beloit Sky Carp. Games begin April 7 so grab your tickets and enjoy a game! On your way there, stop by one of the restaurants downtown for a pre-game drink. Lucy’s #7 Burger Bar has a great variety of Wisco brews!

Golf

Fore! Grab your clubs and make a tee time at Beloit Club. When you stay at Hotel Goodwin, you’re a member for a stay and you’re welcome to a round of golf on their award-winning course. If spring showers keep you off the course, head over to Ironworks Golf Lab where you can practice your game all year round. The simulators let you choose between golf and 14 other games including baseball, basketball and zombie dodgeball!

Henry Dorrbaker's

Take a quick stroll across the river to Beloit’s coolest hangout spot, Henry Dorrbaker’s. Try your hand at duckpin bowling, mini golf, racing simulators and vintage arcade games. With a giant bar with pub fare, craft cocktails and brews, you can let the good times roll all night long.

Sunday brunch

You can’t drink all day if you don’t start in the morning. Start your Sunday Funday with mimosas at the Beloit Club, Bloody Mary's at Bessie’s Diner, located nearby at the Janesville Airport, or boozy cocktail flights at truk't.

Live music

Get your groove on at truk’t on Thursday nights from 6-9 (May-Oct) and/or at Merrill & Houston’s Steak Joint every other Friday starting at 7:30 p.m. Who doesn’t love sipping a cocktail in good company while enjoying some live music?

Wine not?

Sip and stroll through downtown during the Spring Wine Walk. More than a dozen venues will offer red, white, sweet and dry wines. Sample wine, taste appetizers and wander through the many unique shops and boutiques downtown.

...you can’t forget about the incredible restaurants all within walking distance of Hotel Goodwin. If you plan to come for Easter or Mother’s Day, Velvet Buffalo’s special brunch is the perfect way to celebrate.

The always-popular Beloit Farmers’ Market commences in May and runs every Saturday through October, so you might want to make a special trip (or two) to Hotel Goodwin during farmers’ market season.
